TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Herrn P v Radics, Laibach [Ljubljana, now in Slovenia], Krain, Austria
Date2 June 1893
DescriptionIn reply to Radics' note dated 25th May, [Johann Weikhard] Valvasor's letters are scattered through several volumes of documents and are thus bound together with several hundreds of other letters, so that were it not contrary to the Society's practice to allow original documents to leave the house, it would still be impossible to spare so many volumes of the Society's archives to go on a foreign visit. As to Radics' alternative suggestion of photographing the material, to this they have no objection, but Rix is afraid they cannot undertake the task of finding a competent photographer and furnishing estimates. Rix wonders if Radics has a correspondent in London who might undertake this for him.
