DescriptionDiscusses the seven cases of transparencies lent by the Government of South Africa for exhibition at the Royal Society's Soiree on 14 May. Informs the Office Surveyor that they are now at the Royal Society, and will be returned to South Africa at the end of June. Hopes that the Surveyor will aquit the Royal Society of any intention to contravene customs rules, and explains how the cases were opened before a memorandum came asking them not to be opened until the customs officer arrived.
