TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to M S A Pevzoff, Moscow, Russia
Date10 February 1894
DescriptionRix states that they do not understand the first paragraph of his letter, but believe its intention to be to offer a solution of a mathematical problem in the hopes of a prize of 1000 roubles being given. If they have correctly interpreted it, Rix informs him that the Royal Society does not offer, and never has offered, any such prize. As his solution may be useful to Pevzoff in future, Rix returns it to him and thanks him for his courtesy in offering it to the Society.
