TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date19 February 1894
DescriptionUpdates on matters of Royal Society business.

Rix has not heard from Foster about the Croonian Lecture, and asks if he is to correct the incorrect date given in "Nature". He has inclosed a letter from Dr Russell, and another from Joseph Thomas Cunningham; he asks what he should do about the latter, as the issue of part B is postponed until the matter is decided.

With regards to Mr Willey's application, Rix reiterates the regulations regarding the information required, and states that all this has been given explicitly or implicitly in his letter, and they have not always insisted on completion of the standard form when an applicant is based so far away. Rix gives the example of Saville Kent's case. He is therefore planning to register and print the applicant's letter as it stands, with the last part of the letter to be printed among the Reports.

All the other matters about which Foster wrote have been put in hand.
