TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Hartley, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date28 February 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
Your report is to hand, also your request for an application form. Unfortunately, the latter comes too late, as to-day is the last day for receiving applications, and we shall go to press with them to-night. This was widely advertised in both English and Irish papers. I nevertheless inclose a blank form, which can be filled up if you like and sent in for next year's grant. Do you still desire that we should wait for your attendance at the meeting before reading your paper? We can, of course, read it in your absence if you see no prospect of being able to attend.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
