TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Miss Charlotte Angas Scott, Mathematical Department, Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Date5 March 1894
DescriptionRix responds to Scott's letter and manuscript of the 20 February, and explains that the figures have not yet been begun as they did not know whether Scott had agreed to the referees' suggestions and were uncertain of her address. Now they are sure of the latter, Rix sends the originals of Scott's drawings by that day's post, and asks that she rectify and return them as soon as possible.

He is instructed to explain that, to reproduce all the figures would be very expensive, and that the Committee of Papers are doubtful as to the necessity of such a heavy expense. Rix is therefore to ask whether Scott would prefer to make a selection for lithographic reproduction, or have all the figures reduced and inserted into the text by a cheaper process. If she selects the latter option, the corrections in the originals must be final, as the photographic process will not allow corrections afterwards.
