Description | Rix refers to the enclosure of 17 figures from a 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' paper by James Alfred Ewing and Helen Gertrude Klaassen.
He explains that figure 25 must be a facsimilie reproduction by photolithography or similiar, but may be reduced in size; figures 5, 10, 10a, 11, 17, 17a, 18, 18a, 19, 19a form a group, which, if they are to be reduced, must be reduced in the same proportion and by no more than two thirds size. The centimetre lines are to be given in all cases, but not the millimetre lines. Pairs of figures, for example 17 and 17a, should be placed side by side. Rix asks for an estimate at their earliest convenience.
Rix also notes that they have not yet received proofs of Gray's plates, which were begun on the 20 April, and asks when they might expect them. |
