TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr M Armand Ruffer, 19 Iddesleigh Mansions, Westminster, S.W.
Date20 July 1893
Description'Dear Sir,
The Officers are now all away, ^so also are the servants[?]^ the house is dismantled, and structural alterations are going on in the meeting-room. It will, therefore, be impossible to grant the request just received for a loan of the meeting-room on the 26th. Will you kindly let me know at once whether Professor Virchow paid you for translating the Croonian Lecture? and, if so, what was the amount? as we must refund to him, and I am anxious to send a cheque at once.
Yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
