TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to G J Burch, 21 Norham Road, Oxford
Date26 July 1893
DescriptionRix states that as soon as he has obtained Melville Dewey's book it will be sent to Burch. He sends, by that post, two or three proof sheets of volume VII.

Rix also explains that the Committee do not want his memorandum expanded, but instead simply revised; he notes it is already slightly too long as it will only be printed for the use of the committee rather than published. He summarises the memorandum as containing a scheme for cataloguing, and reasons for adopting that scheme, the latter of which could be abridged. They do however, want the scheme itself more fully explained so that they have a definite plan to discuss.
