TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to J Taylor, Board of Works, 12 Whitehall Place, S.W.
Date21 September 1893
DescriptionRix only learned the previous day from Mr Street, to his displeasure, that no notice had been given to the Board of Works of alterations being made to the Royal Society's library. He had believed that their architect was to give notice, and has enquired accordingly with him; Rix includes his reply and a plan of the alterations [not included].

Rix notes the only structural change will be a new doorway from the Council Room into the Library. Mr Street has already inspected and approved the work, and authorises Rix to communicate this. He asks Taylor to return the plan once he has looked at it.
