TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Keen
Date27 October 1893
DescriptionRix notes that the carpet for the dais must be deferred until they see how the officers' seats are progressing, but the Treasurer has asked if Keen can get a stair carpet to go down the length of the aisle. Rix can show the points next time Keen is at the Royal Society, and he states that they generally get these from Hampton & Sons.

A postscript reports that the Officers are anxious in case the room should not be ready for their first meeting. Rix asks how the lantern stand is progressing, and he mentions that he does not recall having seen an estimate for the work. He also explains that the 'Electric Lighters' say they are waiting for the plumber, and asks whether or not they can be 'nudged'.
