DescriptionFoster has been directed to request that Fremantle continue to give instructions for the striking of the Royal Society's Copley and Davy Medals. He explains that they will be required for presentation on 30 November; with Sir George Gabriel Stokes to receive the Copley Medal, and Joseph Achille Le Bel and Jacobus Hendrik van't Hoff to receive the Davy medal. In the latter case, two medals will be needed, with both names on each medal. Cases will be required for the medals.
