Description | Rix has been instructed by Lord Rayleigh to respond to Hannay's letter of 2 November, to explain that there is no objection to the publication of his paper elsewhere, or its printing for private circulation. Rayleigh will undertake the formality of obtaining permission of Council at their next meeting, but Hannay need not wait for this before proceeding. Their regulations do, however, preclude the manuscript leaving the premises as it has been deposited in their archives, but a copyist may be sent, to whom every facility will be given. |
