TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Honorary Secretary, Literary & Philosophical Society, Newcastle-on-Tyne
Date10 July 1893
Description'Dear Sir,
In answer to yours of the 8th inst. [instant], I think it quite possible that the Library Committee might recommend the Council to make you a grant of our publications, but unfortunately your application comes just too late. The Society is not now in session, and no Committee will be held for four or five months. If you care to wait till then, I will see that your application comes before the Committee at their next meeting.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
