TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Edkins & Company, 280 High Holborn, W.C.
Date23 December 1893
DescriptionRix understands that Dr Sherrington called on Edkins & Company yesterday to explain that they will only require one octavo plate rather than two, and handed over the photographs which he wished to be reproduced. If the work should cost exactly half of the estimate for two plates, they may proceed at once, but if the cost will increase Rix asks for a revised estimate and that they not begin work until they have heard further.

Rix also asks if their estimate of 20 December includes mounting the paper photographs on stiff paper, and if not, how much the extra charge would be. He states their preference for a black background to the photos.
