Date10 January 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
Your letter to Dr Foster has been received, and I am instructed to say that it will be laid before the Soirée Committee at their next meeting. At the same time, I am to remind you that the fact that a person has been invited once or twice is not to be regarded as a reason for inviting him again, but rather the other way, so that all proper persons may have a turn.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
