Description | Rix sends thanks for Justin's reply to his memorandum, but notes that his answer related to the Lendenfeld Monograph rather than 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. He states that things have gone 'too far' with Mr Quaritch for them to back out now, but that they have not broached 'Philosophical Transactions' with him, and the Treasurer wishes that they put this into Justin's hands.
He asks if Justin wishes to buy the volumes previously mentioned at one-fourth of their published price, in order that they be cut up into separate memoirs, or any other treatment that they think proper. Sheets could be supplied at 10 per cent less. |
