TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Street, Office of Works, War Office, S.W.
Date17 January 1894
Description'Dear Mr Street,
We have been on the roof this morning to examine a chimney which would not draw, and we find that the brickwork flue division has fallen on its side on the top of the flue. It now hangs ready to fall through the roof, or into the Albany courtyard, as fate directs. As our lives are in danger I hope you will see to this at once.
Yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
