I am directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society to invite you to deliver the Bakerian Lecture this year. One of the Thursday's in February would be the most convenient day for the Society, but we would of course try and meet your wishes. March 8th is engaged for the Croonian Lecture. If, as we all hope, you will accept the duty, please let me know as soon as you can the exact title.
