Rix note that John Morley had unlimited extension of time for admission, and as he has probably forgotten about it, suggests that he should be reminded. Professor Charles Smart Roy has written to state that he has been waiting for the plates of Lim Boon Keng, and although Rix is incredulous that he should need them to correct the English of the paper, has sent them to him.
The Scientific Relief Committee is due to meet the following day, and Rix has not yet received Foster's answer regarding Oliver Heaviside. He apologises for not having reminded him last Thursday, but is so certain that the matter is not for the Scientific Relief Committee that he does not intend to bring it forward. He encloses the letter, signed by Dr Watson, for Foster to forward to the 'proper quarter'.
Rix has kept for the next Council a letter from Professor Prestwich to Foster, asking for permission to republish some of his papers. |
