TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Miss Louisa Burfield, 71 Camplin Street, New Cross, S.E.
Date4 April 1894
DescriptionRix is sorry to hear that Burfield's illness is more serious than he had hoped, but assures her that she need not worry about her absence from work as Miss Chambers is going to have some extra help during Burfield's absence.

He hopes that she has already gone to the countryside, and the Treasurer hopes that she will be able to go away as soon as possible, while the sunshine lasts, and encloses a cheque for three pounds as a gift towards her expenses. Rix has already sent one pound on account of her weekly pay, and now sends two pounds more. Burfield can sign for the three pounds when she returns, but the receipt should be on the enclosed form, which he asks her to return signed. If this will insufficient for her country expenses, he can allow her to have some of her weekly money in advance.
