Date6 April 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
Our Treasurer has desired Mr William Keen, the accountant of the Royal Society, to ascertain the general character and extent of the Kew Observatory accounts, so that he may form a judgement as to the necessity of the Royal Society in future years taking a part in the audit. It would be convenient for Mr Keen to call at the Observatory for this purpose to-morrow (Saturday) morning, but, if you will not be there, or it would in any other way be inconvenient, kindly telegraph to Mr Keen, at his office, 3 Church Court, Old Jewry, E.C.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
