Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Crawford Williamson, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 20 April 1894 |
Description | 'Dear Professor Williamson, I am sorry to hear of your illness, and trust that you will soon shake it off. Your foot-note shall be added as you request. By printing your correction in the "Proceedings" ['Proceedings of the Royal Society'] you will make sure that everyone who had the Transactions ['Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'] will receive it and a great many more. The "Proceedings" are sent to every receipient of "Transactions", and the edition is nearly twice as large. Dr Foster thinks the "Proceedings" would be most suitable and also most effectual. I am, yours truly, H Rix Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. |
