TitleCopy letter from [Herbert Rix] to Sir John Evans, [Treasurer, Royal Society]
Date24 July 1894
DescriptionRix reports that at the last Library Committee meeting it was agreed to give Messrs Kegan, Paul & Company notice that their arrangement with the Royal Society to publish the Separate Papers from the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' will cease at the end of the year, and that they will offer it to Messrs Dulau & Company, the agency, for the following seven years. They further agreed that this resolution should be submitted to Messrs Few & Company's opinion.

Rix encloses a copy of the Minute of Council from 17 June 1875 [included] offering the publication to Trubner & Company, but no copy of the letter sent to them was kept. He asks for instructions in the matter.

He also encloses a letter to Charles Chree, which he asks Evans to correct or to sign and return, along with a cheque for £89-7-8; a cheque for 20 pounds to Horace White, which is payment on the account of his bill for 38 pounds for the index slips; a cheque from the Scientific Relief Fund of 10 pounds to aid Miss Wing, which was passed by Committee yesterday.
