TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Andrew Ainslie Common, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date31 July 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
There was unfortunately no astronomer present at the last meeting of the Library Committee, and no definite decision could therefore be come to as to the advisability of instituting an exchange of our "Proceedings [of the Royal Society]" with the Editor of "L'Astronomie". It was decided that the application for exchange should be granted subject to the opinion of any of the astronomical Fellows of the Society. Accordingly, I shall be glad to hear from you whether you consider the exchange to be a desirable one.
I am, yours truly,
H. RIX
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
