TitleLetter from J H Gaddum to Otto Loewi
Date23 July 1953
DescriptionIs sorry not to have sent a telegram for Loewi's 80th birthday - did his best to have Loewi proposed and elected Foreign Member of the Royal Society for the occasion, but 'the committees do not always do the right thing at the right time' - was surprised to find that he had not been elected before. Notes that 'I have spent most of my life trying to build on the foundations which you laid.'
