DescriptionCorrespondence re the Maud Committee, of which Thomson was Chairman, July-August 1941.

Blackett's letter (28 July 1941) sets out his dissent from the Committee's view on the feasibility of a uranium bomb, on grounds of siting, danger and technical difficulties. Thomson's autograph reply (31 July) answers the objections and discusses the matter further.
