DescriptionLetter from [Gyde?] of Taylor and Francis publishers to W White regarding the return of Philosophical Transactions manuscripts. [Gyde?] explains that all papers from volume 151 are being returned apart from Archdeacon [John Henry] Pratt's paper ['On the Indian arc of meridian'], in the posession of Professor [George Gabriel] Stokes, and Balfour Stewart's paper ['On the great magnetic disturbance which extended from August 28 to September 7, 1859, as recorded by photography at the Kew Observatory'], which had been destroyed.
