Description | Two ink drawings of a man's eyes and the bridge of his nose. The first shows the man's nose pointing left and the second shows the man's nose pointing right, illustrating that the eyes appear the same regardless of the direction the man is facing. This illustration formed part of Plate X in the published paper. The eyes were drawn by Sir Thomas Lawrence, with the other facial features added by Mr Perkins.
