DescriptionPlate 13, figures 2 and 4 showing the stomach of a turtle exposing one half of its cavity; and a longitudinal section of the stomach of the blue shark caught at Hastings [East Sussex, England] and purchased by Colonel Bothwell of the Royal Scots Greys. The work is inscribed with the plate number. Not signed. Several pencil inscriptions on scale have been wholly or in part erased. Royal Society stamp verso. Figures 1 and 3 (PT/73/1/20-21) from the same plate are attached to this work.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'Observations on the structure of the stomachs of different animals, with a view to elucidate the process of converting animal and vegetable substances into chyle' by Everard Home.

Read to the Royal Society on 30 April 1807.
