Royal Society stamp verso. Watermarked 'J Whatman 1825'. The manuscript for this paper is wanting.

Published in volume 117 of Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'On the ultimate composition of simple alimentary substances; with some preliminary remarks on the analysis of organized bodies in general' by William Prout.
