Description | Plate 13 showing the complete fossil including an embedded ammonite towards the bottom as viewed. This large painting was only partly reproduced in the published plate, where it was cropped at the mid-point. The specimen was in the possession of William Buckland and collected by Mary Anning. The painting is inscribed above with publication and plate details. Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'Some farther account of the fossil remains of an animal, of which a description was given to the Society in 1814' by Everard Home.
