DescriptionPlate 21, figures 7-9 showing three leg details from a specimen of British grasshopper [Acrydium biguttulum]. The paintings are inscribed above with publication and plate details, the latter repeated and figure numbers amended. Pencil inscription below: 'Small Common Grasshopper of the Garden [?]' and in ink 'magnified 2500 times'. Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'Farther observations on the feet of animals whose progressive motion can be carried on against gravity' by Everard Home.

Read to the Royal Society on 27 June 1816.
