DescriptionPlates intended for publication in various papers published in volume 130 of Philosophical Transactions. The plates have been removed from their associated manuscripts. Published plates were engraved by the Basire family.

The plates correspond to the following papers:
'Experimental researches in electricity.—Sixteenth series' by Michael Faraday;
'On the nervous system' by Charles Bell;
'Description of an escapement for an astronomical clock, invented by the late Captain Henry Kater, F.R.S. &c., drawn up from his own memorandums by his son Edward Kater, Esq.';
'On the minute structure and movements of voluntary muscle' by William Bowman;
'An account of experiments on the reflecting telescope' by William Parsons;
'Researches in embryology. Third series: A contribution to the physiology of cells' by Martin Barry; and
'On the corpuscles of the blood' by Martin Barry.
