Description | Plate 11, figures 144-157 showing blood corpuscles and fibres from various animals including a frog, a newt [Triton cristatus; Triturus cristatus; northern crested newt], an ornithorhynchus [Ornithorhynchus anatinus; platypus], a human, a sheep, a newt [Lissotriton punctatus; Lissotriton vulgaris; smooth newt], a shrimp, and a lobster. Inscribed with publication and plate details. An ink inscription to right of title, in brackets, reads 'The Engraver to receive instructions from the author before putting this in hand'. An ink inscription verso reads 'On Fibre: additional observations, Drawings and Explanations'. Figures drawn separately and mounted onto backing sheet. Not signed.
