DescriptionHalf complete drawing of plate 7, figure 4 showing primitive muscular fibres of the Belemnites owenii, magnified 600x. The drawing is framed by thin paper. Inscribed with publication and plate details. A pencil inscription above painting reads 'Fig. 13.' A rough sketch appears below the drawing on the paper frame, and next to it a pencil inscription reads 'Belemnites. Muscular [...]'. Not signed. The manuscript for this paper is wanting.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'A description of certain Belemnites, preserved, with a great proportion of their soft parts, in the Oxford clay, at Christian-Malford, Wilts' by Richard Owen.
