DescriptionPlate 14, figures 1-16 showing legs and heads, some reproduced, of the Myriapoda, including the Iulus terrestris [Julus terrestris; millipede], the Alopus cocophages [Graeffea crouanii], and the Vanessa urticae [Aglais urticae; small tortoiseshell]. Inscribed with publication and plate details. A graphite inscription verso reads 'Drawings accompany Mr Newport's paper on Myriapoda in Phil Trans 212 1846'. Signed in pencil bottom left 'G Newport delt.' Embossed stamp top right reads 'Bristol Board'. The manuscript for this paper is wanting.
