Title | Letter from Karl Pearson, to Arthur William Rucker, regarding a paper 'On the vibrations in the field round a theoretical hertzian oscillator' by Karl Pearson and Alice Lee |
Date | 11 March 1899 |
Description | 'I am still under the doctor's orders to do NO work, but in the absence of my custodians for an hour this afternoon I managed to look at our paper'. Refers to work of Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, whose units and notation are followed. In response to the second referee, their solution is only one of many. Is willing to cut down the paper, but does not think the theory is erroneous.
