TitleReferee's report by William Sharpey, on a paper 'Experiments on the section of the glossopharyngeal and hypoglossal nerves of the frog, and observations of the alterations produced thereby in the structure of their primitive fibres' by Augustus Volney Waller
DescriptionRecommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Refers to work by Christian Friedrich Nasse [Müller's Archiv für Physiologie, 1839], and Günther and Schön [?] [Müller's Archiv für Physiologie, 1840]. Suggests the concluding part of the paper might have been reserved until a later date, when it could have been dealt with satisfactorily. Suggests the author should refer to work of other researches in the text, which drawing should be included, and that blank areas on page 9 and 11 'must be filled up'.
