Refers to work of Thomas John I'Anson Bromwich, Konrad Hermann Theodor Knopp and James Whitbread Lee Glaisher. Finds the style unprofessional. Finds the paper more suited for the Journal of the London Mathematical Society, but as the author is a Fellow 'I think he should be allowed to please himself'. Makes some comments on the typography.
