| Title | Letter from Frank Smithies to D C Martin, concerning two papers: 'The representation of analytic functions by infinite series. III. Some special topics' by W F Newns, and 'The representation of analytic functions by infinite series' by W F Newns |
| Date | 2 September 1952 |
| Description | Paper reference code: A82 and A20
Smithies writes: 'Dear Martin, I am returning herewith Parts I-III of Newns's paper. The revision of Parts I-II seems entirely satisfactory, and I have no further comments to make. I agree with the other referee that Part III should be published in the Transactions under the same cover as Parts I-II, and that the section numbers should run consecutively throughout. I have made a few comments on Part III for the author's benefit, and enclose these on a separate sheet. Yours sincerely, F Smithies'.
