TitleReferee's report by George Gabriel Stokes, on a paper 'Report of the observations of the total solar eclipse of August 29, 1886, made at the Island of Carriacou' by Stephen Joseph Perry and Lieutenant J Masterman
Date20 August 1887
DescriptionRecommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The expedition was organised by the Royal Society. Suggests it might have been prudent to appoint a single editor for the disparate reports, which are being submitted singly and should be printed together. Refers to report of Mr Maunder. Suggests Mr Lockyer [Joseph Norman Lockyer?] be aksed to prepare an introduction as head of the expedition. Refers to Mr Scuster and Mr Osburn.
