TitleReferee's report by Oliver Joseph Lodge, on a paper 'A research into the elasticity of the living brain and the conditions governing the recovery of the brain after compression for short periods' by A G Levy
Date17 July 1894
DescriptionNot recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Suggests publication in full in the Proceedings, an opinion with which Edward Albert Sharpey-Schafer agrees. Has discussed the paper with Francis Gotch, and referred to an earlier paper by Charles Smart Roy and Charles Scott Sherrington. Discusses the possible reasons for the differences in observations between the researchers, such as the health of the brain studied and the measurement apparatus used.
