TitleLetter from Edwin Ray Lankester, to Michael Foster, regarding a paper 'Upon the development of the enamel in certain osseous fish' by Charles Sissmore Tomes
Date13 December 1899
DescriptionFinds the system of a series of papers adopted by the author 'to be open to abuse'. Many papers are rejected for the Philosophical Transactions due to lack of sufficient importance, but this author's papers are accepted as a continuation of a series. The current paper is important, but the illustrations are poor. Suggests Edward Albert Sharpey-Schafer and Sydney John Hickson as referees.
