TitleReferee's report by Albert Charles Seward, on a paper 'The structure & development of the stem in the pteridophyla amd gymnosperms' by Edward C Jeffrey
Date23 July 1901
DescriptionSectional Committee: Botany

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. In Part IV, the conclusions, the author is not always quite clear. A clear statement in as few words as possible as to the author's views, would be a useful addition to this part of the paper. The majority of the 'excellent' photographs should be reproduced but the plates should be reduced from nine to six or seven. The omission of such photographs as have been published elsewhere would not detract from the value of the work. It records many facts of considerable interest and includes theoretical discussions and conclusions of first class importance.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions B, 1903].
