Title | Referee's report by Thomas George Bond Howes, on a paper 'Development of the layers of the retina in the chick after the formation of the optic cup' by J Cameron |
Date | 18 March 1902 |
Description | Sectional Committee: Zoology
Not recommended for publication. It does not contain observations sufficiently in advance of known facts to warrant publication in Philosophical Transactions. The paper is 'destitute' of all signs or orderly arrangement, the text is rambling. The illustrations are poor and do not shown even all that the paper purports to describe. If the illustrations are accurate delineations of the authors sections these must be poor and wholly insufficient for the purpose in hand. Notes a certain looseness of expression and provides an example. There is also a 'total lack' of direct reference to authority and the literature of the subject.
