TitleReferee's report by Walter Frank Raphael Weldon, on a paper 'On the correlation between duration of life and the numbers of offspring' by M Beeton, George Udney Yule and Karl Pearson
Date22 May 1900
DescriptionSectional committee: [Zoology]

Recommended for publication. The papers length is due to the numerical tables which are necessary parts of the arguments. Papers far longer than this are published in the 'Philosophical Transactions' and it would be a matter of regret if this paper were rejected because of a wish to adhere too rigidly to the rule concerning paper length. The problem dealt with is of great importance to the theory of natural selection.
