TitleReferee's report by William Watson, on a paper 'Modified apparatus for the measurement of colour and its application to the determination of the colour sensations' Sir William de Wiveleslie Abney
DateMay 1905
DescriptionSectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in full. If it is desired to save space in the tabular matter, it would not very much matter if columns four, five and six, in table two, were omitted. All the illustrations should be reproduced. It is of much use to have such measurements as these put on record, as it is only persons who have a large amount of time and 'unbounded enthusiasm' who can make them. The point brought out in this paper regarding the composition of the green is particularly interesting as it is at this point that most diversity existed between the author's previous number and those obtained by other experimenters.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions A, 1906].
