TitleMemoranda from Robert William Frederick Harrison, and reply from Walter Frank Raphael Weldon, on a paper 'The function of sex' by G Archdall Reid
Date7 October 1905
DescriptionSectional Committee: Zoology

Harrison encloses the two referee's report on Reid's paper [not attached]. Asks if the Chairman will minute his opinion as to the action to be taken with regards to the paper and whether it should be suggested to the Communicator, Professor Ray Lankester, to withdraw the paper, which has not yet been read.

Weldon replies on 8th October, that he quite agrees with both referees. The paper should never have been communicated to the Society and he sees no reason for any other action than the usual rejection after such reports. The paper should not be read.
