TitleReferee's report by Charles Thomson Rees Wilson, on a paper 'The electrical conductivity imparted to a vacuum by hot conductors' by Owen Willans Richardson
Date18 March 1903
DescriptionSectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. All the figures ought to be reproduced. The results contained in the experimental part of the paper concerning the variation with temperature of the leakage of negative electricity from a glowing wire in vacuo, are of great interest in whatever way they may be interpreted. The author discusses their bearing on the corpuscular theory of conduction in metals and shows that they are in agreement with that view.
